Psalm 100 (my favorite Thanksgiving psalm)

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.

Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

  1. I am very touched when I think about God’s faithfulness continuing through all generations. Someday we will be able to see a clearer picture of what that meant. I am just trusting God to keep working in us so that we can leave a mark of God’s redeeming grace that will be carried on to the next generation. On another note, today I have been enjoying sitting by my computer and using You Tube to enjoy many of my favorite Thanksgiving hymns. May you have a blessed Thanksgiving Day.

  2. I’m so glad to see many people take the opportunity at Thanksgiving to really pause and think about their blessings. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because it’s all about being grateful to God for the many ways He has blessed me in the past year. One of the blessings I am grateful for is having many supportive friends and family members. Thanks, Melanie, for being a great friend! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

    • It’s my favorite holiday, too—I think because no one has found a way to commercialize it yet! No gifts, no cards, no wish lists—just a simple act that people from all walks of life can participate in: giving thanks. I love that!

  3. This psalm certainly inspires an attitude of gratitude! Thanking God today for my church family at Living Springs. God has used all of you to change my life this year!
